ABU DHABI – The UAE Lottery, operated by The Game LLC, a Momentum Group company, has partnered with SmartLife Foundation and Premier Schools Accommodation by GEMS Education to deliver a financial awareness workshop aimed at supporting blue-collar residents with essential money management skills.

The initiative was held at GEMS Education’s Premier Schools Accommodation in Abu Dhabi and brought together more than 60 school bus drivers and helpers for an interactive learning session.

The workshop was designed to provide practical knowledge around financial planning, helping participants understand key areas such as budgeting, saving, fraud prevention and retirement planning. The session also included engaging quizzes and certificate distribution to encourage participation and recognise the residents’ commitment to learning.

The programme forms part of the “Opportunities” pillar of H.O.P.E., The UAE Lottery’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform, which focuses on Healthcare, Opportunities, Planet and Enrichment. Through the platform, The UAE Lottery aims to support initiatives that create sustainable social impact across communities in the UAE.

Financial education

Suzan Kazzi, Associate Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Momentum, The UAE Lottery, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s focus on empowering individuals through practical knowledge and meaningful partnerships.

“Financial knowledge is a powerful enabler of confidence, and long-term financial stability. Through H.O.P.E., we are committed to driving initiatives that equip individuals with practical life skills to help them build better opportunities for themselves and shape a more secure future. This workshop reflects our belief in people-focused partnerships that create meaningful and lasting impact across communities,” she said.

The collaboration with SmartLife Foundation supports efforts to expand access to financial education among workers who contribute to communities across the UAE. The session highlighted the importance of building healthier financial habits and understanding responsible planning for the future.

Abhijeet Oak, Vice President at SmartLife Foundation, said the organisation believes education plays an important role in creating empowerment and improving quality of life.

“At SmartLife Foundation, we strongly believe that knowledge creates empowerment. Many blue-collar workers dedicate themselves tirelessly to supporting their families yet often have limited access to structured financial education. Through partnerships like this, we can help individuals make informed financial decisions, build healthier financial habits, and plan more confidently for the future,” he said.
